Doctors Association Kashmir(DAK) President, Dr Suhail Naik thanked the Hon'ble Health Minister,Mr Bali Bhagat for his efforts in upgrading the health care system in Jammu & Kashmir. The recent announcement of filling up of posts of medical officers was highly appreciated by the executive body. General Secretary DAK, Dr Owais H Dar stressed upon that there is a dire need of up gradation of present infra structure at primary, secondary and tertiary health care system.The DAK stressed for starting cancer speciality centres as in far flung areas of the state, so that the common masses who are suffering from deadly diseases and whose economic condition is very low, will get benefited. It was also discussed in the meet that since past one decade, no dental surgeon post was advertised and this at one side has resulted in unemployment of qualified dental surgeons and secondly has resulted in mushrooming of quakes in every nook and corner of state, thus resulting in suffering of common people,creation of dental surgeon posts will be a sigh of relief for both dental patients and unemployed dentists. DAK also stressed for creation up of posts of medical officers, consultants in bulk as per the guidelines of WHO and keeping in view the exact need to cater the load of patients in hospitals. The dearth of doctors in hospitals has overburdened the already engaged doctors as well as has made a negative impact in the overall scenario of health care delivery system. Executive members laid their stress for exploring timely promotion avenues and creation of posts in medical colleges and associated hospitals. So, the DAK is by virtue of this press release highlighting in strong way the bulk Creation of consultants, medical officers and dental surgeons. The DAK also welcomes the launching of Web site by the department. At, the end of meeting it was unanimously resolved that the DAK will work tirelessly and sincerely for the betterment of profession and for the better health care system to help the common masses.
